Feathergale Spire

[edit]

A tall stone tower on a rocky height in the hills southeast of Red Larch, visible from a long way off. The party traveled here in Sessions 03–04, entered and cleared the spire floor by floor, and learned it was tied to wind cultists. Only one defender — Ewan McFeathernuttz — was spared; he flew the party back to town.

At a glance

[edit]
Type Stone tower / keep
Location Hills southeast of Red Larch
Visited 03 (arrived) · 04 (cleared)
Party's belief Wind cult stronghold — "cleared" (unverified from town)

What the party saw

[edit]
  • A gleaming stone spire rising from a high pillar of rock — hard to miss when crossing the hills.
  • The party fought through multiple floors inside the tower, facing defenders in knight-style gear.
  • Combat was heavy; the party killed most defenders and spared one knight (Ewan).
  • The party looted disguises and medallions from the fallen knights, then returned them to Ewan in exchange for a flight home.
  • The party does not know what lies beneath the spire or whether anything still operates there — they left after Session 04 believing the wind cultists were dealt with.

In play

[edit]
03 Cult rumors at the Helm; two bandit ambushes on the road; arrived at the base of the spire (did not enter yet).
04 Assaulted and cleared the spire. Spared Ewan; flew back to Red Larch. Genericus promised Ewan help "any time, guaranteed." Party told the Helm they'd handled the wind cultists.

Unresolved

[edit]
  • Is the spire truly clear, or could cult activity return?
  • Ewan's favor — Genericus's open-ended promise.
