| Ended in | Red Larch (The Helm at Highsun) |
Summary
[edit]The party entered and cleared Feathergale Spire floor by floor — fighting Feathergale Knights, Howling Hatred Initiates, and Hurricanes (wind-cult defenders), plus beasts in the stables including Hippogriff and Giant Vulture mounts. They spared one knight — Ewan McFeathernuttz — who flew them back to Red Larch. The party returned looted disguises and medallions. Genericus Maximus promised Ewan help "any time, guaranteed." Back at the Helm, they announced they'd dealt with the wind cultists. The group reached 4th level.
What happened
[edit]- The party entered Feathergale Spire and fought their way through it, clearing defenders on multiple floors.
- Defenders included knights in scale armor, lesser cult soldiers (initiates), and unarmored wind-magic fanatics (hurricanes). Flying beasts — hippogriffs and giant vultures — were part of the garrison at the base.
- They killed everyone in the tower except one Feathergale Knight — Ewan McFeathernuttz.
- The party convinced Ewan to fly the group back to Red Larch on his hippogriff mount.
- Ewan asked them to return the disguises and medallions they'd taken from the slain knights. The party complied.
- Genericus volunteered that the group would help Ewan "any time, guaranteed" — an open-ended promise with no specific terms.
- Back in Red Larch, the party returned to The Helm at Highsun and told people they'd "taken care of a bunch of wind cultists" and that they "won't be a problem anymore."
- The party reached 4th level. Session ended in town.
Key moments
[edit]- Feathergale cleared — knights, initiates, hurricanes, and stable beasts defeated; only Ewan spared.
- Flight back to town — Ewan's hippogriff carried the whole party home.
- Genericus's promise — help Ewan whenever he asks, guaranteed.
- Public boast at the Helm — the party's reputation as cult-fighters started spreading in Red Larch.
Townsfolk
[edit]| Ewan McFeathernuttz | Sole surviving Feathergale Knight; flew the party home; returned gear and an open-ended favor owed |
Enemies
[edit]| Feathergale Knights | Scale-armored defenders (most slain, except Ewan) |
| Howling Hatred Initiates | Rank-and-file air cultists throughout the spire |
| Hurricanes | Unarmored wind-magic cult scouts |
Creatures
[edit]| Hippogriff | Knight mounts; Ewan's mount flew the party home |
| Giant Vulture | Stabled at the spire base; part of the garrison |
Places
[edit]- Feathergale Spire — entered and cleared
- Red Larch — return via air
- The Helm at Highsun — celebration / rumors spread
Loot & rewards
[edit]- Feathergale disguises and medallions — looted during the assault, then returned to Ewan
- Level up to 4th
- Other spire treasure — not confirmed in party notes; update Party Loot if anything else was kept
Unresolved
[edit]- Ewan's favor — Genericus promised help "any time, guaranteed." When will Ewan call it in?
- The party's claim that the wind cultists are "no longer a problem" — no one has verified what actually remains at the spire (the cult may send reinforcements).
- The missing Mirabar delegation — still the main goal; Feathergale was a detour driven by cult rumors.
