Princes of the Apocalypse
DM Campaign Vault — Dessarin Valley

A working game-master reference for running Princes of the Apocalypse in the Dessarin Valley. This wiki combines official source material (the module and D&D Beyond) with a living layer for our table — session notes, player-character dossiers, prep, and homebrew that has diverged from the printed adventure.

Two layers live here.

  • Canon — the book as written (chapters, published NPCs, intended plot order).
  • This Campaign — what has actually happened at our table (reconstructed notes, off-book choices, homebrew).

Homebrew and table-specific material is tagged [HOMEBREW] or [DM-INSERTED] so it never gets confused with canon.

Party level 4 (three players)
Where they are Re-railing onto the main plot after an off-book early arc. Session 06 prep is complete.
Immediate hook The Reaver Ambush — party ended at the ambush site, pre-loot. Next: Missing Delegation → Rivergard Keep.
Key divergence [HOMEBREW] The party cleared Feathergale Spire early. Ewan McFeathernuttz survived, rebuilt the spire, and leads the Reckoning of Red Larch threat.

How to use this wiki

  1. Prep a session on its plan page (copy structure from Session Template when available).
  2. Run the game, then capture what happened in that session's notes page.
  3. Reconcile — each recap ends with a Canon Updates to Apply checklist. Work through it: update NPC, location, faction, item, and PC pages, then tick items off.

Conventions

  • Named NPC pages: one character per page (e.g. Kaylessa Irkell).
  • Cross-link liberally — the value is navigation between people, places, and plot threads.
  • Tag homebrew clearly: [HOMEBREW], [DM-INSERTED].
