Summary
[edit]Before leaving Red Larch, Togar visited Helvur Tarnlar, Clothier — casual introduction, mentioned the party, examined wares without buying (and without asking questions). Then the party pursued the missing Mirabar delegation — bandits on the road (the party tried to keep one alive, but Togar's magic went catastrophically wrong), then a reaver ambush. The party won; the session ended before searching the site.
What happened
[edit]- Before the party left Red Larch, Togar visited Helvur Tarnlar, Clothier. Helvur Tarnlar and Maegla Tarnlar were both tending the shop. He made a casual introduction, asked to view the wares, and mentioned his party — but didn't ask any questions. He examined the stock and left without buying anything.
- The party set out to follow leads on the missing delegation.
- On the road they fought a group of bandits and won. The party had tried to keep one bandit alive for questioning — but Togar landed a critical hit with his magic, shifted into a crystal or stone form, and charged through the captive. Bits of bandit went everywhere. Togar stood there stunned and visibly shaken — he had not meant to kill anyone like that.
- They continued toward the delegation trail and were ambushed by raiders (reavers) in the hills.
- The party fought through the ambush and killed every attacker.
- The session ended immediately after the fight. The party had not looted the bodies or searched the site.
